Ladies That Lunch Collection

Good friends, good coffee and, naturally, a little gossip...

Gossip in the Café is an original watercolour from Maureen Chaloner's much-loved Ladies That Lunch collection — a playful celebration of friendship, conversation and those precious moments when women get together and put the world to rights.

Three stylish ladies are enjoying coffee together in a charming café setting. Perhaps they're discussing the latest news, sharing stories about their families, planning their next outing... or simply having a good old-fashioned gossip.

With its warm mustard, coral, pink and soft green tones, the painting has a gentle, nostalgic quality while retaining the distinctive character and humour of Maureen's Ladies That Lunch series.

This is an artwork about something wonderfully ordinary — friendship and conversation — but Maureen's characters give it a sense of occasion and fun.
